How we look after your personal information
The Strathalbyn & Districts RSL Sub Branch is part of RSL South Australia. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
When you send us a message using the form on our Contact page, we collect your name, phone number, email address and your message.
When you apply for membership using the form on our Membership page, we collect the details on the form. These include your name, title, date of birth, sex, country of birth, postal address, phone numbers and email. They also include details of a service person you are related to (if any) and any previous RSL membership.
When you call or email us, we keep the details you give us so we can help you.
We do not take payments or collect bank or card details on this website.
We use your information to:
• reply to your message or question
• process your membership application and record you as a member of the League
• keep in touch with you about your membership, our services, commemorations and events
• offer welfare support if you ask for it.
We do not sell your information, and we do not give it to anyone for their marketing.
Membership applications may be shared with RSL South Australia, our state body, to process your membership. We will not pass your information to anyone outside the League without your permission, unless the law requires it.
Messages and applications sent through this website are emailed to our President. A copy is also kept in the website's password-protected admin area. Only authorised sub branch officers can see them.
We keep your information only for as long as we need it, and we delete or destroy it securely when it is no longer needed.
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking or visitor statistics on this website.
If you press Bigger text, your browser remembers your choice on your own device. That setting is not sent to us.
Our fonts are provided by Google Fonts. To show them, your browser connects to Google, which may see your internet (IP) address. See Google's privacy policy.
Our site links to other websites, such as our Facebook page and the Australian War Memorial. Their own privacy policies apply when you visit them.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. Just contact us using the details below.
